The Surf Life Saving Club patrols the beaches during the summer weekends, so make sure you swim between the red and yellow flags. The Chris Mainwairing memorial stands on top of the dune next to the Surf Life Saving Club. Chris was born in Geraldton and went on to become an AFL player for the West Coast Eagles. The memorial was erected after his death in October 2007.
