The site is also protected by the owners entering into a conservation covenant with the 'Trust for Nature'. 'Trust for Nature' works with property owners and all future owners, and legally binds them to ensure that the bushland on their properties is protected. Native animals are frequently seen, particularly kangaroos, numerous bird species, and Grampians plants, including native orchids.
